Indian student granted the co-financed 'EDHEC-French Embassy in India' scholarship

Shriya Balumur, September 2015 intake student enrolled in the EDHEC MSc Marketing Management programme in Lille was granted the co-financed EDHEC-French Embassy in India scholarship.

EDHEC Business School in partnership with the French Embassy in India awarded the co-financed scholarship to Shriya Balumur, a Marketing Professional from Mumbai. Shriya received the award from Mr. Andre Ruche, Deputy Head of Mission - Consulate Generale of France, Mumbai in the presence of Nilesh Gaikwad, EDHEC Alumnus & Country Manager in India.

Launched in 2014, the co-financed EDHEC–French Embassy of India scholarship is open for application to all promising Indian students with excellent academic credentials who have been admitted in any of EDHEC’s 12 Masters of Science.

EDHEC selects students with a minimum GMAT score of 600 who have applied for one of the EDHEC’s Master of Science programmes before 30th March and have confirmed their acceptance. The final selection is made by a Selection Committee comprising of members from EDHEC and Campus France India. The results are announced on April 15th. The scholar will be granted a full tuition-fee waiver, which is either €18 000 or €21 500 depending on the MSc chosen, including health, medical coverage and access to student housing.

Shriya was granted the scholarship for her academic excellence, can-do attitude and impressive accomplishments, including professional experience in Account Management at AdFactors International, largest PR firm in India. Shriya is also one of the youngest to be a certified ‘Yoga Trainer’ in ‘Stress & Anxiety Management’.
